How does the unit work?

The dispenser draws a continuous supply of water from your water source and filters it using multiple stages of filtration to remove impurities such as dirt, chemicals, unwanted odors and tastes to dispense pure chilled, hot or ambient temperature water as per your requirements.

How is the Filtered Water Dispenser installed?

Why does tap water need to be filtered?

Although tap water in Australia is considered safe for drinking, there are several contaminants which are not removed from the water. For more information please go to the following link

Does it have any safety features for children?

When the hot water is selected, if left unused, a few seconds later, it turns back to the ambient setting.  This reduces the chance of any accidents occurring.

What’s the difference between the Benchtop and Floorstanding dispenser?

The Benchtop Unit is suitable for home or for small offices with less than 10 individuals.

The Floorstanding Unit with its large capacity is suitable for offices with more than 20 staff.

Is there any difference in capacity between the two units?

The Floorstanding Unit has a capacity of up to 7.5L cold and upto 3.4L hot water.

The Benchtop Unit has a capacity of up to 1L hot and cold water.

What’s the warranty coverage?

The warranty coverage for the purchase option is 1 year, with the rental contract, the unit is covered for the duration of the contract for any hardware problems.

What if I move before the rental contract finishes?

If you move before your  contract finishes, you can request to relocate your filtered water dispenser to your new premises. At least 1 weeks’ notice is required for us to complete this  task.

Can I install it myself?

The installation needs to be carried out by qualified LG technicians to meet the conditions of the product warranty.

Do you have a showroom?

Yes we do, our showroom is located at 27/2 Nipper Street, Homebush.

What is soft plumbing?

Soft plumbing is carried out by using a flexible PVC conduit which connects the filtered water dispenser unit to the water source via an adaptor, which can commonly be found under the sink or in other locations.

What does the rental option cover?

Rental rates not only cover the unit but also filter replacements and unit servicing which is carried out regularly as per the unit requirements.

When I purchase, what services can I choose?

When you purchase the unit, you can choose various filter replacement and servicing packages, according to the unit requirements. You can also choose how much water is consumed and hence the level of maintenance required for the unit.

I am currently using bottled water, is there any money to be saved?

If you are using  more than 4 bottles per week, there will definitely be savings made when you switch over to our filtered water dispensers. Bottles cost from $10-15 each whereas our Filtered Water Dispensers can be rented from $2-3/day.

How much are the Filtered Water Dispensers?

What colours are available?

The Benchtop Units are available in silver and white. The Floorstanding Unit are available in white only.

Why do you need different temperatures? What does it mean?

The benchtop unit can dispense hot water in 3 different temperatures. These are:  45, 75 and 85 degrees, that you can use for warm water, and to make tea and coffee respectively.

How do you know when the filters need to be replaced?

Filter usage depends on the quantity of water dispensed, and both the Benchtop and Floorstanding units have a filter replacement alert light which provide a visual indicator when it is time to replace the filters.

What are the differences between tap/bottled and filtered water?

What happens if I cancel the rental?

If the rental is cancelled before the end of the contract, there will be some fees that apply, depending on how much time is left on your contract. For more details please get in touch with our sales team.

Are you the only distributor selling the unit?

We are the only licensed distributor of the LG Filtered Water Dispenser units in Australia.

How long will it take to order, supply and install the unit?

This will depend on the territory, unit availability and the installation schedule of our technicians, however in Sydney the typical lead time between placing the order and installation is normally one week. In Brisbane and Melbourne, it is usually 2-3 weeks.

What do you mean by metro?

By Metro, we normally mean an area within 30 km radius from the city.

What are the dimensions of the units?

The dimensions of the LG (Atom) Benchtop Unit are as follows:

  • Height: 422mm x Width 170mm x Depth 520mm.

The dimensions of the LG (S1) Floorstanding Unit are as below:

  • Height: 1278mm x Width 360mm x Depth 520mm

Is it necessary to refill/top up the water?

There is no need to refill the water as the dispenser is directly connected to your water source and draws a continuous and uninterrupted supply of water directly from there.

Where do we pick up the dispenser or do you provide delivery to my address?

Provided you are located within our area of coverage, our technician will deliver the dispenser to your premises and carry out the installation as well.

Can we purchase the filters separately or install them ourselves?

Filter replacement and unit servicing are carried out by LG trained healthcare managers in order to ensure that the unit remains within product warranty.

How cold is the water from your dispenser? How much cold water can the unit dispense at one time?

The cold water from the dispenser is from 6-8 degrees Celsius. The Benchtop Unit can dispense approximately 1L of chilled water after which time the unit will need 20 minutes to refill the cold water.

Do you charge for installation?

If the unit is purchased outright, installation is free of charge, if the unit is rented, then an installation fee will apply, submit a quotation for further details (fee depends on service area location)

How often do the filters need to be replaced?

The rate at which the filters are replaced will depend on the water consumption rate, and depending on your unit, whether it is the Benchtop Atom unit or the Floorstanding S1.

  • The Benchtop unit has precarbon, postcarbon and UF filters (3 stages of filtration in 2 filters)
  • The Floorstanding unit has sediment, precarbon, postcarbon and UF filters ( 4 stages of  filtration)

Who does the maintenance of the dispenser units?

Maintenance of the dispenser units is carried out by LG trained Health Care Managers who will visit you at your premises to replace the filters and also carry out routine maintenance of the units to ensure they remain in optimal condition.

This includes use of the LG Dispenser cleaning kit which uses patented LG ionized steam cleaning technology to thoroughly clean the internal mechanisms of the water dispenser and also clear any matter that has built up as a result of the filtering process.

What are my payment options? Can I rent the units as well?

What happens when I reach the end of my rental contract?

At the end of the five year rental contract, you will get to keep the unit for yourself and can continue using it (with the required service package plans) At the end of the three year contract, you can hand back the unit and have the option of signing up for any new model which is available at the time.
